10 thousand people were killed in Yogi’s government IG News

Lucknow, March 18- In the last six years, it has been reported that the government led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has conducted more than 10,000 encounters.

Among the encounters made by UP, most of the encounters were made in Meerutvala. A total of 3,152 encounters are said to have been conducted by the police in this zone.

In a special operation conducted by the Uttar Pradesh police, 178 people involved in criminal activities have been shot dead so far.
A reward of Rs 5,000 to 75,000 was announced for the capture of the criminals. A total of 23,069 criminals were arrested by the Uttar Pradesh state-wide police during special operations between March 20, 2017 and March 6, 2023.
Since 2017, 63 criminals have been shot dead by the police in Meerut zone. Apart from this, the government spokesperson informed that 1,708 criminals have fallen into the trap of the police.
4,911 accused were injured during the shootout while arresting the criminals. During these 6 years, a total of 13 policemen have been martyred in a shootout with criminals. Apart from this, 1,424 policemen were injured by gunfire.
It can be said that after Yogi Adityanath was elected as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the number of encounters in the state has increased.
