The thieves who stole Rs 1.5-2 lakh along with 124 tola gold and 3 kg silver from an abandoned house located in Kamla Nehru Nagar First Extension Scheme, 200 meters away from Police Station Pratapnagar, have not been able to find any clue yet.
Timber businessman Rajesh, son of Shivlal Jangid, resident of Kamla Nehru Nagar Sector-D, had gone to Mahamandir with his family on Tuesday morning on the death of his elder mother. When he returned at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, the window of the toilet ventilator was broken. Goods were scattered inside. The thieves broke into the cupboard and locker and took away 124 tola gold Rakhri set, Aad, Ramnavmi, gold waistband, Bhujband, Hathphool, bracelets and bangles, gold chain, Mangalsutra, bracelet, chain locket, earrings, rings, Bichhiya set, nose ring, Stolen 200 grams of gold biscuits, gold coin, tusi, kanthi, topas and jhumaris and three kilos of silver jewellery. The thieves also stole one and a half to two lakh rupees.
Police are scanning CCTV footage to catch the thieves. At the same time, efforts are also being made to catch the thieves from other technical aspects.
