Jakharwali Chowki Police with the help of DST has arrested 2 smugglers who were smuggling liquor during blockade.
Jakharwali Chowki police in Pilibanga police station area arrested two smugglers who were smuggling liquor during blockade with the help of DST. The pick-up vehicle being used for liquor smuggling has also been seized by the police.
Police sub-inspector Rajendra Kumar said that with the information and cooperation of DST, action has been taken in the Excise Act. On seeing the police team near the police post at Jakhadawali Tiraha, a Bolero driver tried to drive away the vehicle. On suspicion, the police chased and stopped the pickup and on asking the name and address of the youths in it, identified them as Shravan Kumar (23) s/o Mohanram alias Momamram Bishnoi and Poonam Chand (24) s/o Manohar Lal Bishnoi, residents of Motania, police station Matoda, district Phalodi. Happened in the form On searching the pick-up vehicle, 12 boxes of liquor were found in it. On which the police arrested both the youths who were smuggling liquor and seized the Bolero pickup and registered a case under the Rajasthan Excise Act. Sub-inspector Rajendra Kumar, constables Pawan Kumar and Sunny Singh were included in the police team.
