TRS leader Tamineni Krishnaiah was killed by four unidentified men shortly after unfurling the national flag in a village in Telangana’s Khammam district on Monday. Seeing the increasing tension in the area after this incident, the police officials have imposed Section 144.

According to the police, Telangana Rashtriya Samithi leader Tamineni Krishnaiah was attacked and killed by four unidentified persons in Teldarupalli village of Khammam Gramin Mandal. The incident took place when the TRS leaders were returning from the national flag hoisting ceremony on Monday morning.

According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Khammam district, Tamineni Krishnaiah was returning on his bike after hoisting the national flag. At the entrance of Teldarupalli village, four men in an auto rickshaw attacked him and fled leaving him in a pool of blood.

An auto came at the entrance of Teldarupalli village and the occupants killed the TRS leader on the spot and fled from there, said the ACP of Khammam. We have formed teams to trace the four accused involved in the incident. The body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
