Vadodara, On 11th, after obtaining an order of cement for the construction of a new factory in Savli taluka, a cyber scammer cheated by not sending the cement after receiving Rs.14 lakh online from the company. In this crime, the Vadodara Range Cyber ​​Crime conducted an investigation and arrested the cyber mastermind from Punjab.
The details regarding this are that Haripura village of Savli taluka has Inoxyl Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. Since the company has to purchase cement in large quantities for its construction, efforts were made by the company managers to get cement at a reasonable price. During this time, a text message was received on the mobile of company manager Javanish Pravinbhai Patel regarding the purchase of ultratech cement in large quantities at a cheap price.
Based on this message, Javanish Patel contacted Ultratech Cement Pvt Ltd on the number given in the message. A man identified himself as speaking from the company’s sales department and decided to give a bag of cement at a price lower than the market price, i.e. Rs.280. Later, Javanish Patel gave an order to buy 5000 bags of cement and deposited Rs. 14 lakhs in SBI.
However, the delivery of cement did not come and later the phone of the person who took the bulk order of cement was also switched off. In this regard, a complaint was registered in cyber crime on 18 August 2021 and an investigation was conducted by the police. Based on the bank account details, the police identified the cyber crook and a team of Range Cybercrime reached Punjab from where Mahabirsingh Amriksingh Singh (Rest.Marinabad, Algaon Kodi, T.Par, Dist.Taran Taran Sahib, Punjab) was nabbed. The police also seized a mobile phone from him.
