However, when the police recovered the student and brought her home, her parents refused to keep her. After this, the authorities sent the girl to an orphanage, where she continued her studies.

According to a Times of India report, the student topped her class and secured 945 marks out of 1,000. She says, “A month or two ago, I started talking to my parents. They were happy with my numbers and asked me to go back home.

More than 25 orphans and other children of the shelter who scored good marks in this year’s SSC and Intermediate examinations. The topper in her school said, “I didn’t really think if I would go back home, I wanted to do B.Com first as it would enable me to study and get a side job in accountancy. I want to go back home after work.”
