Chandigarh: A public interest petition has been filed in the Punjab and High Court for the removal of the ongoing national justice front in Mohali. During the hearing in the High Court, the petitioner demanded that this dharna has been going on for 1 month, due to which people are facing hardship. The people of the front are demanding the release of Bandi Singh. Along with this, a demand has also been made to produce Jagtar Hawara, the accused in the Beant Singh murder case, in the Chandigarh District Court.

There has also been a clash between the police and Nihangs here last month. The protesting people have made it clear that if their demands are not met, they will prepare their future strategy. During the hearing, the High Court told the government that you are given one more chance so that this issue can be resolved through dialogue, if the issue is not resolved through dialogue, then the High Court will have to issue orders in this regard.

The court said that the concerns of the petitioner are absolutely valid. During the hearing, the counsel for the Punjab government sought time to file the reply. The lawyer said that we are keeping a close eye on the matter. And want to resolve the issue through dialogue. We have also registered an FIR against the protesters. The court has asked the government to submit a status report. Let it be known that Chandigarh Drive Safe Organization has filed a public interest petition in the High Court.
