Shimla. The search operation, which has been going on for the last 11 days in the Shiva temple in Summerhill, Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, finally ended after reaching its end. On Thursday, three bodies were recovered from the spot and the search operation was over. The bodies of a four-year-old girl and her grandfather were also included in these three bodies. Apart from this, the body of a person named Neeraj has also been recovered.

A total of 20 people have died in the Summerhill Shiv Temple landslide. Shimla’s Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Gandhi confirmed the recovery of all the bodies and told that the search operation is over.

According to the information, the search operation started on Thursday, the 11th day of the accident. During this, the body of a four-year-old girl Samaira was recovered first. Then, the search team also found the bodies of Neeraj and later the girl’s grandfather. Earlier, 17 bodies were recovered from around the spot. In this search operation which lasted for 11 days, NDRF, SDRF, police and fire brigade personnel worked day and night to retrieve the bodies of people buried under the debris.

This incident came to light on 14th August. A big landslide happened at 7 am above the Shiv Bawdi temple in Summerhill area of ​​Shimla. This landslide started from the Garden of Advanced Study of Shimla and debris, stones and trees fell on the Shiva temple about one km below. A large number of people got buried in the accident. During this the rescue operation started. A total of 20 people were reported missing to the administration. Search operation was going on here for the last 11 days. Significantly, 29 people have died in Shimla in just four days of this monsoon season. A total of 55 people have lost their lives in road accidents including landslides in Shimla.
