Ali Raza Syed condemns the arrest of human rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Anto


Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed has condemned the arrest of Muhammad Ahsan Anto, a human rights activist in Occupied Kashmir.

It may be recalled that Mohad Ahsan Anto, Chairman, International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested by the police in Srinagar yesterday.

In a statement issued in this regard, Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said that Muhammad Ahsan Anto is a prominent Kashmiri thinker and intellectual and is considered as an active human rights activist in occupied Kashmir.

He said that the crime of Muhammad Ahsan Anto was that he pointed out Indian atrocities and raised his voice against Indian oppression.

He said that India could not suppress the Kashmiris’ movement through cruel tactics like oppression and violence.

Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed further said that we will continue to expose Indian atrocities on the people of Occupied Kashmir at the international level.

He said that international human rights organizations should raise their voice against the ongoing Indian violence in occupied Kashmir.

It may be recalled that Ahsan Anto is one of those personalities who from time to time raised his voice in favor of Kashmiris and against Indian oppression at the international level.

He has also addressed the Kashmir Council EU’s protests against Indian atrocities in Brussels over the phone.

Ali Raza Syed has demanded immediate release of Ahsan Anto, Khurram Pervez and other Kashmiri personalities.
