Khan claimed that he divorced Alizi Sultan on 3 September due to “unavoidable circumstances and lack of understanding between them” because she was not “obedient to him”, according to a statement made by her lawyer Faik Ali Jagirani.

Because his client was the guardian of the children, the lawyer said, he was unable to leave them in the hands of his ex-wife because “she is an immature woman” and he had serious concerns for their future.

The lawyer said Ms Sultan was preventing Khan from seeing the children and requested the court to order her to permanently transfer custody of the children to her, while still allowing her to see them once a week. until the application is decided.
