Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced the layoffs in late March. This has affected 9000 employees of the company worldwide. Nearly 9,000 job cuts were announced in the cloud services, advertising and Twitter units. This information was given to the staff through a memorandum.
Amazon will cut 18 thousand employees
The seller onboarding function of the company has been discontinued in Kochi and Lucknow. Amazon sources did not comment on this. Amazon has laid off employees for the second time in recent months. Earlier this year, the company had said that around 18,000 employees would be laid off. In November 2022, it was said that Amazon would lay off many employees from India as part of its global plan.
