Four associates of absconding Khalistani supporter and radical preacher Amritpal Singh were brought to Dibrugarh in Assam on Sunday. According to a top police source, four accomplices of the detained separatist Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh were brought to Dibrugarh in a special Air Force aircraft. He will probably be kept in Dibrugarh Central Jail.
According to reports, a 27-member team of Punjab Police is also going with him, which includes IG Jail. He was brought to the Mohanbari airport by the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Dibrugarh amid tight security. The reason for Amritpal Singh’s associates going to Assam is still unknown. The police is not ready to tell anything at the moment.
When contacted, Prasanna Kumar Bhuiyan, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and spokesperson of Assam Police, claimed that he was not aware of any such development.
