Following the leak of Sidhu Musewala’s song, Punjab Police has registered an FIR on a complaint lodged by the late singer’s father Balkaur Singh. Musewala’s controversial song on SYL was allegedly leaked on WhatsApp on June 20 by an unknown person.

The song SYL sung by Sidhu Musewala was to be officially released on June 23. Police have also arrested one accused in the case but Musewala’s mother has pardoned him at the behest of the panchayat. In the FIR, Balkaur Singh said that it was earlier learned that songs recorded by his son Musewala had been leaked.

He said that it has been decided to take legal action against the culprits. A copy of the FIR has been posted on the official account of Sidhu Musewala’s Instagram story. “An FIR has been registered against unknown persons for leaking and forwarding Sidhu Musewala’s songs,” the post said.

“We are sharing a copy of the FIR of the first arrested accused. Although Sidhu’s mother has pardoned him, we will not pardon anyone next,” the post said. It is further stated that please do not engage in such activities.
