Announcement of 10% reservation in BSF for firemen, relaxation in age limit also with conditions IG News

New Delhi: The modification made by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the BSF (Border Security Force), General Deputy Cadre Recruitment Rules, 2015 has been implemented (March 9). According to the notification, the candidates of the first batch of Agniveer will get relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for the recruitment of the post of constable, while the candidates of the subsequent batch will be given relaxation of 3 years.

Important Announcement for Firefighters

The central government has announced 10 percent reservation for ex-firemen in BSF vacancies. Along with this, an important decision has been taken to relax the upper age criteria. The Union Home Ministry has issued a notification, which has been implemented from March 6, 2023. So according to this announcement, firemen who wish to join the armed forces will be benefited. According to the notification, ex-firemen will be exempted from the physical efficiency test among the candidates coming to join the BSF. It is to be noted that the Center is announcing several measures to regularize the maximum number of firemen who will be released from the three armies of the country after completing their 4-year tenure. Under which the Union Home Ministry has announced 10 percent reservation for ex-firemen in almost all central armed forces like CRPF, Assam Rifles, ITBP, SSB, BSF.

Private sector companies have also announced

The Ministry of Defense has also announced reservations for ex-firefighters in other branches of the armed forces. Apart from this, large private sector companies like Mahindra and Tata have also announced to give priority to firemen released after 4 years from Air, Thal and Jal Sena. That is, efforts are being made by the government including big companies to ensure that even after the completion of their tenure, the fire fighters will get financial support and can do their own work.
