Pakistan Petroleum Traders Association Chairman Abdul Sami Khan said we will shut our petrol pumps on July 5.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Abdul Sami Khan said there is no way in the world that a pump can operate at a loss and double taxation has no place in the world.
He said today we met the finance minister on the important issue we are being taxed 0.5% in the name of advance tax our margin is already low because we are concerned.
Abdul Sami Khan said that if this tax is imposed, our pumps will be closed. We request the finance ministry not to deal with us like other sectors. If our business ends, we will take strict action.
The chairman of the Pakistan Petroleum Traders Association said that there is oil smuggling from Iran, we have not heard anything, we have contacted all organizations but no one has heard anything.
They also said they wanted to make a deal with Iran and impose a tax on Iranian oil. The government has a duty to stop smuggling.
