Ahmedabad residents responded well when paper cups used by tea kettles were banned. According to the new rule of the Government of India, no one can now use plastic bags below 120 microns. This rule will be followed in Ahmedabad. A large number of plastic bags are used in medical stores and vegetable sales in the city. For the next one week, AMC’s 300 team will convince traders in different zones in the city that these bags are not to be used. After that, if the rule is not followed, action will be taken up to sealing the unit.
