Amaravati: Hydrama occurred at midnight at Kanumuru sand stock point of Palmeru mandal of Krishna district. A dispute took place between the representatives of the contracting company and the drivers. The row started when the vehicles of the former minister and ruling party leaders were allowed directly into the stock point, regardless of the serial numbers of the tipper lorries. For two days more than three hundred tipper lorries have been plying at the stock point for sand. The lorry drivers asked the representatives of the contract company how to give permission to the vehicles that have just arrived. “Make yourself aware of our will” The drivers stopped their vehicles at the stock point gate. However, the representatives of the contracting company warned the drivers that they will close the stock point without giving sand.
In this order, an intense argument took place between the drivers and the representatives of the contracting company. The drivers alleged that the representatives of the contract company threatened to smash their lorries with a mission if they asked about this method. The driver felt that sand was being supplied to the vehicles belonging to a former minister in front of his eyes, apart from him who had serial number token 11. The drivers are appealing to the authorities to take steps to ensure proper supply of sand to all. There is a situation where the officials are ignoring the loading of more than 35 tons against the rules.
