Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has visited Quetta Garrison.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Quetta Garrison where the Army Chief visited the martyrs’ memorial and laid wreaths.
ISPR said the army chief interacted with officers and men while appreciating the help and relief work of the provincial government during the floods.
ISPR also says that the Army Chief also inaugurated the Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Cardiology Institute in Quetta, the Cardiology Institute in Quetta has been established with the cooperation of the UAE.
According to ISPR, on the occasion of the visit, the Army Chief awarded the Star of Quaid-e-Azam to Abdullah Khalifa Saeedul Ghafeli on behalf of the President and also visited the Command and Staff College and the School of Infantry and Tactics.
On this occasion, the Army Chief said that the Balochistan Corps has provided excellent support to the provincial government during the recent floods.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa further said that the first 120-bed cardiac facility established in Quetta with the support of the United Arab Emirates, the Cardiology Institute will provide treatment facilities to the people of Balochistan and Quetta.
