The first C-295 transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force landed at the Air Force Station in Vadodara on Wednesday. The aircraft was being flown by Group Captain PS Negi. Earlier the plane was landed in Bahrain. From there it reached Vadodara. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will formally induct the aircraft into the Indian Air Force on September 25 at a ceremony held at the Hindon airbase near Delhi, IAF officials said. A total of 56 aircraft will be inducted into the IAF and 40 of them will be manufactured in India by the Tata-Airbus joint venture.
