Islamabad, May 26 (Punjab Mail) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf General Secretary Asad Umar, a close associate of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has resigned from his position in the party today. According to the information received, he has taken this decision after being released from Adiala Jail on Wednesday. In a press conference about this, Umar said, ‘It is not possible for me to lead the party in these circumstances. I resign as core committee member and general secretary of the party.’ Umar clarified that he is not resigning under any influence. He also said that he has only left the post of the party, not the party. Umar said that the most dangerous of the incidents that took place on May 9 was that military installations were also targeted. It may be mentioned that before Asad Umar, former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary has also resigned on Wednesday.
