Lucknow’s famous senior lawyer Zafaryab Jilani, who was the lawyer in the Babri Masjid case, passed away on Wednesday at 12 noon. He was undergoing treatment at Vedanta Hospital and Nishat Hospital in Lucknow for the last three years. Jilani breathed his last at Nishat Hospital. Son Najaf Jilani confirmed his death. Zafaryab Jilani was the Secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board. He was also the chairman of the Babri Masjid Action Committee. Also worked as Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh.
Died due to fluctuation in BP
Najaf Jilani said that suddenly his blood pressure started fluctuating, due to which he died. Najaf said that Dr. in the ICU ward. Manu was under the supervision of Seth. He had urinary problem. Najaf said that apart from a urine infection, his father suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2021. He was undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr. Ravi Shankar at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, but his health had been unwell for the past few days. Will be handed over tonight at 9pm. Najaf said that his father’s funeral will be held at Aishbag graveyard in Lucknow at 9 pm. Before this, namaz will be offered at Nadwa in Lucknow at around 8.45 pm.

In 2021, Zafaryab was working in the office of Islamia College in Jilani, when he got up to urinate, he suddenly slipped due to rain and fell down the stairs. Due to which he got deep injuries on his head. He was taken to Dr. Usman Kaushal, a family member of Sarvodaya Nagar for immediate treatment. When the head was examined, it was found that a blood clot had accumulated in the brain. He has suffered a brain haemorrhage. He was soon admitted to Medanta Menka. There the blood clot was removed after surgery.
