Bengaluru: Previously, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation’s (BMTC) (BMTC) had been told by the Yamaduas. Now the huge Bangalore Metropolitan Park (BBMP) garbage trucks have been stripped of BMTC’s buses. These trucks have killed 4 people in the past two months. A 25-year-old Swiggy Delivery boy was killed on the spot near a railway bridge in Thanisandra on Saturday evening. The youth has been identified as Devanna of Surapur in Yadagiri district. The driver of the lorry, Dinesh Naik, 40, has been arrested by minor traffic police.
An eyewitness, speaking to a TV reporter in a TV9 Kannada channel, said the lorry was moving at a high speed and was traveling by bike from Devanna Nagara Circle to Hegde city. The speeding garbage truck collided with the Devanna overpass as it was heading from a nearby road. Devanna divider has fallen to that side of the road from the collision. An eyewitness said he was wearing a helmet but his head was broken.
All residents of Bangalore have noticed. BBMP trash trucks are moving very fast on city roads. Tushara Girinatha, who has been the chief commissioner for policing, urged the truckers and their drivers to immediately speak up.
