Raja Singh, BJP MLA from Gusha Mahal in Telangana, said at the end of Vishok Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav held in Goa that many politicians these days pretend to be staunch Hindu leaders but after winning elections, they become secular. Such MPs and MLAs are useless for the formation of ‘Hindu Rashtra’.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Raja Singh Lodh often makes headlines for his controversial statements. On Sunday (June 30), he made a controversial statement on Hindu Rashtra during a meeting.

He reportedly said there was a need to select 50 “active Hindu MPs” who would march fearlessly in Parliament and demand the establishment of a “Hindu Rashtra”.

Raja Singh, MLAT of Telangana’s Gusha Mahal constituency, participated in the Mahotsav organised by the Hindu Jan Jagarti Samiti.

T Raja Singh is known as the Hindutva face of the BJP and he made this statement on the sidelines of the Vishok Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav held in Ponda, Goa.

As reported by Deccan Herald, he said, ‘Many politicians these days pretend to be staunch Hindu leaders. However, they turn secular soon after winning the elections. Such MPs and MLAs are of no use for forming a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Such ‘Hindutva’ MPs who turn secular after the election results will oppose the demand of ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Hence, it is necessary to elect 50 strong Hindu MPs who will fearlessly demand ‘Hindu Rashtra’ in the Parliament.

Speaking on the ‘politics of appeasement’, Singh said India had almost paralysed India.

He further said that for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra, the young generation should be encouraged to study hard and hold important positions in administration so that they can contribute.

The BJP MLA also promoted regular spiritual practices to ward off inauspicious days and establish a Hindu nation, Deccan Herald reported.

T Raja, in particular, has a long history with controversy. In 2020, social media platform Facebook banned Raja Singh from its platform and Instagram account, surrounded by allegations and criticism from all sides of bias in its handling of hate speech.

“We have banned T Raja Singh from Facebook for violating our policies on content that promotes violence and hatred,” a Facebook spokesperson said in an emailed statement.

Earlier, after winning the 2019 elections, he refused to take the oath-taking ceremony before Protem President Mumtaz Ahmed Khan. He said that he did not want to take the oath in front of people whose party wanted to demonize Hindus. He later declared AIMIM as an anti-national party.

Even in 2018, he made a controversial statement saying that incidents like cow lynching would not stop until cows were given the status of ‘Mata cows’.
