Panaji, November 21 (Zaban) A bus conductor has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 19-year-old college girl while traveling in a bus in Goa. Police gave this information on Tuesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Jeoba Dalvi said the student lodged a complaint at the Mapusa police station on Monday. He said the student alleged that the 20-year-old conductor had been sexually harassing her since she was in Class 12 (she was a minor at the time) and traveled by bus from Thiwem village to Mapusa.
He said the Mapusa police arrested the accused and registered a case against him under relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code, Goa Child Law and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
