Bus Fare | Buses started increasing on Rakshabandhan, diesel-petrol prices decreased, yet the fare was not reduced IG News

  • Passengers are not getting any benefit

Nagpur. The festival of Rakshabandhan is now five days away. To celebrate this, people have started returning to their homes. That’s why now the crowd in the buses has also started increasing. In the month of June, the central government had cut the rate of petrol by Rs 8 and diesel by Rs 6, but the common passengers are not getting its benefit. The main reason for this is that there is no reduction in the fare by the bus and taxi operators. When the turn comes to increase the price, then the rent is increased immediately.

Passengers say that even if the government increases the price of diesel and petrol by one rupee, then bus and taxi operators increase the fare by 15 to 20 percent. Sometimes, even a child under five years old pressurizes him to take half fare. Their only cry is that oil prices have increased, hence the rent has been increased, but when oil prices fall, instead of reducing the rent, they keep the same. Then they say that if you want to travel then you will have to pay the fixed fare. By increasing the fare by all unitedly, the passengers are compelled to travel at the increased prices.

money for goods

As the festival of Rakshabandhan is getting closer, most of the buses going from the city to the rural areas have started running full. During this, bus operators are charging separate money for the luggage of the passengers. In rural areas, the work is still being done by sour buses, which sometimes get damaged on the middle of the road. Due to this, the passengers are facing a lot of difficulties. People are paying arbitrary fare to bus operators to reach home early.
