IG news Update,
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is here with the new DMZ extraction mode. It is an objective-based sandbox game that plays very differently from battle royale. With so many ways to deal with a round that covers all kinds of objectives in a PvPvE environment, there can be a lot involved. Here we’ll list some tips and general information to help you get started and make the most of yours. Timing in DMZ mode.
Quick DMZ Overview
The DMZ is a trio mode in a PvPvE environment where you can have the option to choose how you want to play, including looting high-value items and weapons and completing faction objectives. You keep all the loot you collect with a successful Xfill, but you risk losing almost everything if you die and fail to make it out of the match.
General DMZ Tips for Dummies
Weapons work differently than in Battle Royale
Before loading up into a match in the DMZ, it’s important to understand how weapon loadouts work. Here’s a full guide to DMZ weapon types, but basically, there are weapons you get out of a mod called Contraband, and there are weapons you customize to take with you to the DMZ with Gunsmith, and use them as weapons. called blueprint.
Your custom blueprints are the only items you won’t permanently lose from a failed DMZ mission, but you are not penalized for successfully removing them from a match. The penalty is a two-hour cooldown timer. Here we provide a DMZ guide to unlocking more insured weapon slots and reducing cooldown penalties faster.
Whether you choose to go into a mission with your custom weapon blueprint, a forbidden weapon, or nothing at all will depend on what your goal is for the match. If your objective is just to get in and scavenge to get loot and money, then it’s not worth risking your best guns. You can easily load into a match with only your fists, melee the first AI you see and take their weapon. Or you could be scavenging a building and possibly find something to use.
Save the better guns for when you’re loading up for something specific that requires more firepower, like clearing strongholds or a series of tougher faction missions.
free starter essentials
Be sure to always load up in a match with your lethal, tactical and field upgrade equipment. You always get a chance to pick up these items at the start of a match, and you never lose access to them. I recommend the Ammunition Box for the best field upgrades, so you always have ammo at your disposal. You can always scavenge more or different lethal and tactical equipment, but always take those free ones.
Once in a match, look for vests that allow you to equip more armor. You can buy these from Buy Stations, but there’s a good chance you’ll snag one if you search nearby buildings.
easy weapon unlock
One important thing to note is that if you are new or only have Warzone 2.0, You can unlock weapons much faster in the DMZ, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 have a complicated weapon progression system that requires you to use certain weapons to unlock others, but you can sidestep this hassle by taking them out on guns in the DMZ. Each time you exfiltrate a weapon that you haven’t already unlocked, it will unlock it for use in all modes. So, if you find a new gun you like, make sure you Xfill with it.
Faction Mission Quick Start
Before loading into a match, you’ll have the option of choosing three faction missions to complete in-game. These are a variety of challenges, including looting specific items, gathering intel, and eliminating marked targets. They range in difficulty, but completing them will not only net you nice XP and rewards, but it also works towards unlocking additional Assured weapon slots. Here’s our complete guide on how you unlock additional weapon slots for the DMZ, including how you can reduce the cooldown penalty of your weapon blueprints.
DMZ Assimilation Facility and Communication
If your squad mates die or you just need backup, you can use Warzone 2.0’s new Assimilation feature. it lets you use a communication circle request to join another trio, or ask others to join you. This function is found by holding down the D-pad to access the mode’s communication wheel. This wheel lets you use basic communication options to create groups with friends or ask for help in your area.
Some AI are Tough
Fighting some AI is easy, but be careful with armored AI and strongholds or other dense objective areas, as they offer more challenging battles. Make sure you have ammo and armor plates at your disposal, and don’t be afraid to back away from battle.
You can refuel and repair your vehicles
Unlike the original Warzone, vehicles in Warzone 2 do not have an unlimited fuel capacity. Be sure to watch the fuel meter at the bottom center of your screen. You can refuel vehicles immediately with looted gas cans, but you can also refill and repair vehicles at gas stations.
don’t feel pressured to stay
Loading up as a trio may seem like your fate is permanently tied to teammates, but you can Xfill at any time and won’t have to wait on your squadmates. You can choose to exfiltrate separately, and so can they.
There’s a new weapon in Season 1 that can be unlocked for use in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, and here’s our guide to unlocking the M13B assault rifle in DMZ mode. Also, be sure to check out our guides to Warzone 2.0 and the DMZ’s new Stronghold and Black Sight features.
