New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) informed on Saturday that two of the three objectives of the Chandrayaan-3 mission have been achieved, while scientific experiments are continuing under the third objective.
It said that all the payloads of Chandrayaan-3 mission are working normally.
ISRO posted information from its X handle saying, “Out of the three objectives of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, the demonstration of safe and soft landing on the lunar surface has been completed.” The goal of moving the rover on the moon has been achieved. Scientific experiments are going on under the third objective. All payloads are functioning normally.

On the other hand, on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the date of ‘soft landing’ of Chandrayaan-3, August 23, will now be celebrated as National Space Day and the place where the lander ‘Vikram’ of this vehicle landed, will now be celebrated as National Space Day. Will be known as ‘Shiv Shakti’ Point.

He also announced that the place on the moon where Chandrayaan-2 left its footprints in 2019 will now be known as the ‘Tiranga’ point.
