Congress leader Balli murdered by Khalistanis in Moga district of Punjab IG News

Congress leader Baljinder Singh Balli has been shot dead in Moga district of Punjab. The deceased 45-year-old Congress leader Ajitwal was the party chief from the block. Two unknown assailants riding a bike entered his house and shot him. Police have registered a case and started investigation. No one has been arrested yet. The incident took place on Monday (18 September 2023). A Canada-based Khalistani organization is reported to have taken responsibility for the murder.

According to media reports, the incident took place in Dalla village of Baljinder Singh Balli of Moga district. Congress leader Balli was present at his house on Monday. Then some attackers riding a bike came there. One of the attackers entered the Congress leader’s house and started firing bullets. Baljinder Singh was seriously injured in this firing. The incident created chaos nearby. However, after some time the attackers fled from the spot. The video of this attack is also becoming increasingly viral on social media.

In the viral video, Baljinder Singh is seen strolling in his house. Meanwhile, a person comes from the gate and starts shooting at them. The attacker runs away before the people nearby can join him. The seriously injured Congress leader is taken to the hospital. Still, despite all the efforts of the doctors, Baljinder Singh could not be saved. There is resentment among Congress workers over the murder of Baljinder Singh. He has demanded strict action by arresting the attackers as soon as possible.

According to a Congress leader, two attackers shot one bullet in the chest and the other in the stomach. Raising questions on the law and order situation of the state, he said, “The situation of law and order has become such that forget outside the house, now bullets are being fired inside the house also.”

It is being told that Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Arsh Dalla has taken responsibility for this murder. He took this responsibility through a Facebook post made a few hours after the murder. At present, the police have not yet confirmed the claim of the Khalistani group. The matter is being investigated.
