A contract sub-engineer, who was jailed on scam charges, has had to face the consequences of giving false information to senior officials and hiding his jail visit. He has been terminated.
Collector and District Program Coordinator Employment Guarantee Satna Anurag Verma has terminated Satendra Patel, the contractual sub-engineer of District Panchayat Amarpatan. Satendra Patel was currently posted in District Panchayat Rampur Baghelan. Satna Collector has terminated the contractual service of Sub Engineer with immediate effect.
Satendra Patel, who was appointed as Deputy Engineer on contract basis under the Employment Guarantee Scheme, was accused of irregularities in Gram Panchayat Jhinna of Amarpatan District Panchayat. He was found guilty in the investigation. When the FIR was registered, he was arrested and sent to jail. Contract sub-engineer Satendra Patel was in jail for 23 days. But he hid these facts.
On the other hand, the Court Commissioner in Rewa division also misled the Commissioner Court by hiding the facts of irregularities in Jhinna Panchayat. Apart from this, the contract extension was also done by presenting a false affidavit to the CEO District Panchayat that there was no pending investigation and recovery case in the Lokayukta. When all these exploits of his came into limelight, the Collector and the District Program Coordinator terminated the contract service of the contract sub-engineer with immediate effect. On Monday, the dismissed sub-engineer was given one month’s advance honorarium and ordered to resign from the post.
