An explosion occurred inside a mosque on police lines in Peshawar on Monday. The whole area shook. Local officials said that 59 people have died in the explosion so far. Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) spokesperson Mohammad Asim confirmed the death toll. Rescue work is going on for those trapped under the rubble. Peshawar Commissioner Riyaz Mehsud said the roof of the mosque collapsed after the explosion. Many are believed to be buried under the rubble. Police and security personnel surrounded the scene. Investigation is ongoing.
