The 7th Additional District Sessions Court of Tumkur has sentenced the PDO and Bill Collector to 4 years imprisonment for demanding bribe to issue NOC for construction of poultry farm.

Tumkur: The 7th Additional District Sessions Court of Tumkur has sentenced the PDO and Bill Collector to 4 years imprisonment for demanding bribe to issue NOC for construction of poultry farm. In 2018, Chinnenahalli Gram Panchayat PDO D.M.Nagaraju and Bill Collector Shivanna of Shira Taluk had asked for a bribe of 10,000 to issue NOC for the construction of a chicken farm.

Shivanna, the bill collector, had gone to the bribery department, and this time, Shivanna fell into the ACB trap as a red-handed. After the investigation, the case was proved and bill collector Sivanna and PDO DM Nagaraju were sentenced to 4 years in jail and fined 30 thousand by Justice TP Ramelingegowda.
