Earthquakes occurred in the national capital and surrounding areas on Thursday evening. This is the second tremor in five days. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan. An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude occurred in Faizabad. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 199 km from the earth’s surface. As a result of this there was a tremor in Delhi around 8 pm. Netizens claimed on social media that earthquakes have occurred in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
No loss of life or property has been reported so far. Earlier on Sunday morning, there was an earthquake in Delhi-NCR. It was recorded as 3.8 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was north-northwest of Jhajjar in Haryana. Tremors were felt at a depth of 5 km underground. On November 12, tremors were felt across Delhi and NCR. The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.4.
