IG News Updates,
In last night’s EastEnders episode, Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) leaves the square for new pastures as she moves to Scotland with the family of the girl she teaches.
EastEnders took to social media after the episode to share a special moment on set, as Rose finished filming her final scenes.
In the video, Rose said a heartfelt goodbye to fans, thanked them for making the show, and made Frankie possible. He was also presented with a famous Albert Square plaque, which was signed by fellow cast and crew.
She then paid tribute to the on-screen family Carters, saying that the family aspect of the show is what she will miss the most.
‘We’ve become so close,’ she said.
He then thanked the cast and crew of EastEnders and claimed that what he learned on the BBC soap would be with him for the rest of his life.
At the end of the video, she dropped the ambiguous phrase, ‘bye for now’.
Could Frankie return to square one in the future? We certainly hope so.
During his stint on the show, Frankie has been a lasting influence. She has been involved in a number of stories since her arrival as the secret daughter of Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) in 2020.
Her most recent story saw her attacked on her way home at night, after being harassed by a man overnight.
Rose was the first deaf actress to be cast on the show and has inspired many disabled fans. After wooing the audience with her dancing skills, in 2021, she won Strictly Come Dancing with partner Giovanni.
The future looks bright for Rose, and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
