The Election Commission has issued a written order in the foreign funding case, in which it rejected the PTI’s request to keep the report of the foreign funding case confidential. PTI’s lawyer requested not to make the report public, to which the ECP said, “I wonder how we can issue such an order.”
The Election Commission said that the report submitted to us has become a public document.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding member Akbar S. Babar said that the scrutiny committee kept the record obtained from SBP confidential. The Election Commission said that no part of the report could be kept confidential. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said that if a secret record is leaked, there will be shocking revelations.
