CHENNAI: The maximum temperature in Erode in Tamil Nadu today was recorded at 98 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the Meteorological Department. Madurai recorded a maximum temperature of 96 degrees Fahrenheit today. Namakkal, Puducherry and Salem recorded temperatures of 95 degrees Fahrenheit each today.
