Tel Aviv, Jan 13 (IANS) Idan Amedi, star of Netflix’s popular web series ‘Fauda’, has been released from intensive care after being admitted for severe injuries sustained in the ongoing war in Gaza.
He has now been transferred to the trauma center at the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan.
The Faude star was a reservist in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and was serving in a military engineering unit when he was hit in the body by sharps.
On his Instagram account, he documented moments from his military service, saying “this is not a scene from ‘Faude’, this is real life”.
He also added that he and his fellow soldiers were motivated by concern for the victims of the Hamas massacre on October 7, 2023.
“May God and we avenge their blood,” said Amedi.
In the popular web series, Amedi portrays his role as Sagi, a member of the anti-terrorist unit led by Doron, played by actor Lior Raz.
