
Google CEO Sundar Pichai said after the FIFA World Cup final on Monday that the tournament generated the most number of searches in 25 years.
The CEO took to Twitter to share the news and said, “Search recorded its highest traffic in 25 years during the finale #fifa world cup It was like the whole world was searching for one thing!”

Argentina beat France 4-2 on penalties after the score was tied 3-3 after extra time at the Lusail International Stadium in Qatar. Argentina’s Lionel Messi scored two of the three goals for the South American country.
During the match, Kylian Mbappé of France scored a hat-trick. The 23-year-old also won the Golden Boot for scoring eight goals, the most goals scored during the World Cup.
