Four soldiers killed in cross-border firing from Iran

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that four soldiers embraced martyrdom on Saturday following a cross-border attack by Iran on Pakistani soldiers posted in Kech.

Earlier today, a group of terrorists operating from the Iranian side attacked a routine border patrol of Pakistani security forces operating along the Pakistan-Iran border in Jalgai sector of the district, the army’s media wing said.

ISPR said that in the attack, unfortunately, four soldiers including Naik Shayar Ahmed, Lance Naik Muhammad Asgar, Sepoy Muhammad Irfan and Sepoy Abdur Rasheed were seriously injured and later martyred.

The statement mentioned that Pakistani officials are reaching out to Iran to seek ways to prevent such incidents in the future.

Condemning the attack, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah assured the people that the government would heave a sigh of relief after ending terrorism.

The Home Minister said that the whole country is united in the fight against terrorism, it is sad that the sons of the country are embracing martyrdom to protect their land.
