In the Sadar police station area of ​​the city, a case of rape of a class 12 student on the pretext of providing her papers before the examination and then gangrape with her friends has come to light. The accused kept exploiting the student from 2019 till now by making videos and taking photographs. A month ago, the accused blackmailed the victim and took her to Nepal border and committed gangrape. In this regard, the victim has registered a case against 4 youths including two named.

ASP Jaisingh Tanwar of the Women’s Cell, who is investigating the case, said that a month ago, when the minor student went missing, the family had lodged a missing complaint in the Sadar police station. On Wednesday, on the statement of the minor student, a case has been registered under sections of IPC and POCSO in Sadar police station against Ratannagar resident Naveen Jangid, Krishna Kumar and Naveen’s two friends. The victim student told in her statement that in the year 2019, when she was a 12th student in a private school in the city. Then he got acquainted with Naveen Jangid, a resident of Ratannagar, from the same school. Before the half-yearly examination, Naveen deceived her that he had the examination papers. On the pretext of providing her papers, he took her to a house in Poonia Colony of the city, where he raped her.

During this time Naveen made his video. At the same time, he threatened to share the video on social media if he told anyone. After this both of them started studying in college. In January 2021, Naveen called him to the cafe near Lohia College and threatened to make the video viral if he did not come. When she went to the cafe, Naveen forcibly raped her and also took photographs. On July 9, 2023, Naveen again called her to a cafe and raped her. After that, the family members of the victim student got her engaged, about which Naveen came to know and started harassing her.

Bought money and jewelery from aunt’s house
On August 17, the accused called her and threatened her that if she did not come out of the house at night, he would paste her obscene photos at her future in-laws’ house, her house and the locality. Out of fear she left at night without informing her family. Naveen was sitting in a car with two of his friends in the street near his house. Naveen’s two friends forced themselves on him in the car and made a video. Next day they reached Delhi. Going there, Naveen demanded money, on which she went to her aunt’s house in Delhi and secretly brought money and jewelery from there. Then the accused took him to Delhi court. Where both of them got married. Then everyone stayed in a hotel for the night and went to the railway station in the morning.

From there Naveen sent his friends back. From here Naveen took him to Nepal border. There Naveen’s brother Krishna Jangid came and took him to the factory. Kept in the factory for three-four days and after that kept in a separate room. Both Naveen and Krishna would come there drunk every day and forcefully do wrong things with her. One day both of them ran away leaving him there, after which his family members came and brought him to Churu. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
