According to locals, the Boral to Kudwada highway has spiral bends at several places on the Modasa-Nadiad highway beyond Baid. To prevent any motorist from going into the road side drains due to dangerous turns in the dark of night, the road-building department has identified such places and installed galvanized channels parallel to the highway. Then, in the last 10-15 days, the incident of theft of galvanized channels at night from three places on this highway has come to light. Villagers say that these channels are 40 to 50 feet long and this is not the work of a single person. Officials of the Road Building Department did not notice the theft.
