Barasat, Aug 27 (PTI) The Border Security Force (BSF) seized gold biscuits worth Rs 3.12 crore from a truck along the Bangladesh border in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district. Officials gave this information on Sunday.
During a search of a truck at Petrapole outpost on Saturday, BSF’s 145 Battalion personnel found two packets of gold biscuits hidden in different parts of the vehicle, they said.
According to officials, this truck that came to India from Bangladesh was empty.
He said that 45 gold biscuits weighing 5.24 kg were seized from the truck and the driver was arrested.
