Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who returned to the country yesterday after participating in the G20 summit, today went to the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. Later, PM Modi went to the function stage and as a major step to improve the transport in North Eastern regions, the Prime Minister is going to inaugurate Tony Polo Airport, the first green airport in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The name of the airport reflects the ancient worship of Sun (Donyi) and Moon (Polo) in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh’s first green airport is built on an area of ​​over 690 acres at a cost of over Rs 640 crore. The airport is capable of operating in all weather conditions with a 2,300 meter long runway.
