Ahmedabad, January 31 (Punjab Mail) – A Gandhinagar court has sentenced the so-called Sadh Asaram Bapu, who was convicted in a rape case filed by a former female devotee in 2013, to life imprisonment. The 81-year-old so-called Sadh is currently lodged in Jodhpur jail, where he is serving a life sentence in another case of raping a minor girl at his ashram in Rajasthan in 2013. Sessions court judge DK Soni delivered the verdict after hearing the arguments of the court.
