Gujarat Election 2022: Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi arrived to vote with his family. Harsh Sanghvi along with mother, father and wife arrived to vote. Voters were welcomed at the polling station.

Gujarat Election 2022: Voting for the first phase of elections is going on in the state today. And, voters are slowly coming towards the polling stations. There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the general public including the leaders. At that time, Harsh Sanghvi, the home minister of the state, also exercised his right to vote at Surat. And, in an interaction with the media, he has urged the voters to vote in large numbers. He has further said that if you don’t stay at home, come out for voting. Harsh Sanghvi asked women, youth and senior citizens to vote massively.

Karnataka Governor and veteran BJP leader Vajubhai Vala exercised his right to vote. In Rajkot, he appealed to the media to vote for the BJP in his constituency. He has asked the people to vote enthusiastically in this great festival of democracy.

Know all the facts of today’s election

Voting process of the first phase of Gujarat assembly elections is going on today. In the first phase, voting is taking place in 89 seats of 19 districts of South Gujarat including Saurashtra-Kutch. Voting process is going on from 8 am to 5 pm.

In the first phase, the fate of a total of 788 candidates will be decided. 39 Clashes between political parties. More than 2 crore 39 lakh citizens will vote in 25 thousand 430 polling stations. A total of 34 thousand 324 EVMs and 38 thousand 749 VVPAT machines will be used.

A total of 1,24,33,362 male and 1,15,43,308 female voters will exercise their franchise in the first phase. There are a total of 788 candidates in the fray for 89 seats in the first phase. Out of total 788 candidates include 70 female and 718 male candidates. A total of 339 independent candidates are in the fray in the first phase.

Business-Employment-Employees-Workers of industrial units will have to be given paid leave on the day of polling. Said, if they are working in any organization, provision has been made to give them paid leave on polling day.
