Hockey team returns national pride to Punjab Chief Minister

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the national hockey team had revived national pride.

Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with the players of the National Hockey Team who performed brilliantly in the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised the performance of the National Hockey Team and said it is pleasing that National Hockey is back after 13 years.

Maryam Nawaz said that in the past, schools were built in the era of athletes. Sports should be promoted in this era of people.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the entire hockey team for their outstanding performance.

Speaking on the occasion, Imad Butt, captain of the national hockey team, said the government is fully supporting the hockey team, which is doing well because of the government’s support.

Captain Imad Butt said Pakistan’s hockey team is unbeaten in three years. The sport has suffered due to the closure of the sports department during the PTI founder’s tenure.
