Houses of PFI leaders raided in Kerala IG News

Thiruvananthapuram: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday raided the residence of Popular Front of India (PFI) leaders in Thiruvannapuram, Kerala. All state and district level leaders of Red PFI have been sent home. OMA Salam, PFI Chairman, Manjrina, Mallapuram district and the PFI office have done this red matraat. PFI Chairman OMA Salam is also on NIA and ED’s radar. His house has also been raided at midnight.

The NIA and ED suddenly raided PFI chairman Om Salam’s house at Manjeri in Malappuram district on Wednesday midnight. The raid is still going on and the activists staged demonstrations in the meantime. A large number of workers protested outside the chairman’s house.

Action against PFI for running terror funding camp

Major action is being taken against PFI across the country for terror funding and running camps. In 10 states across the country, NIA and ED teams raided the houses of PFI leaders from state to district level and arrested around 100 cadres.

Over 100 cadres arrested during raids in 10 states

According to news agency ANI, teams of ANI and ED along with state police conducted raids in a total of ten states and during this time more than 100 cadres of PFI have been arrested. ANI has raided the houses of PFI leaders at several places in Tamil Nadu including Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Ramnad, Dindugal, Theni and Thenkasi. A search is also underway at the office of the state head of Chennai PFI in Pursavakkam.
