Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal said that she was sexually assaulted by her father.
Khushpu, a member of the National Commission for Women, had recently made the same allegation.
Swati Maliwal, speaking to reporters after participating in the Women’s Commission International Women’s Day Awards program held in Delhi, said, ‘I was sexually assaulted by my father until I was in the fourth standard. When I was a little girl, my father used to punish me severely. I would hide under the bed to escape from him. I thought then how to teach a lesson to those who beat women like this. I thought how to help women get their rights.
My father hit me several times against the wall by holding my hair. Due to this, I got injured and blood came out, he said.
