News Daily Digital Desk: Shaheen Afridi has not yet recovered from the defeat in the T-20 World Cup final held in Australia. Pakistan’s left-handed pacer had to leave the field due to a knee injury in the final against England. And Pakistan had to pay the price for not being able to bowl. England lost in the final. That loss may haunt Afridi in nightmares. That’s why he says, if he didn’t leave the field due to injury at the end, Pakistan would have won the World Cup.
Afridi injured his knee while catching Harry Brook in the final. The left-handed pacer had to leave the field for a short time due to injury. After that, Afridi returned to the field to bowl his third over. After one ball in that over, Afridi walked off the field. He could not stand on the field due to injury.

Afridi took the wicket of Alex Hales in those 2.1 overs. The left handed pacer gave only 13 runs. England easily won the match as Afridi couldn’t bowl anymore. Afridi says, “Every cricketer has a dream to win the World Cup for the country. If I hadn’t got injured in the final, maybe we would have won the World Cup.”
Afridi has now returned to cricket after recovering from a knee injury. Many say he needs to slow the ball down so that injuries don’t red-eye his career. Afridi returned to the field in a good mood. Afridi recently took 19 wickets in PSL. He took eight wickets in ODIs against New Zealand as well as six wickets in T20Is. Afridi says, “Everyone has a different idea about speed. If the wicket comes at a speed of 110 km per hour, then I will like it. I give 100 percent on the field. That is the most important thing.”
