Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement on the status of corona virus said that 14369 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, as a result of which 756 new cases were reported.
He said that 20 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths due to the epidemic to 5136.
The Chief Minister said that today 579 more patients have been cured, bringing the total number of cured people to 294836, while 4194432 samples have been tested so far and 323811 cases have been reported so far.
He said that at present 23839 patients are undergoing treatment out of which 22941 patients are undergoing treatment at home, 25 in isolation centers and 873 patients in various hospitals.
He said that the condition of 816 patients is critical and 81 patients are on ventilators.
The Chief Minister said that out of 756 new cases in the province, 398 cases are related to Karachi, out of which 164 cases were reported in East District, 130 in Central District, 58 in South District, 26 in Korangi, 16 in West District and 4 in Malir District.
Other districts of the province include Hyderabad 41, Thatta 29, Jamshoro 25, Badin and Tando Muhammad Khan 21-21, Matiari 20, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Tando Allahyar and Shaheed Benazirabad 16-16, Mirpur Khas 15, Dadu and Nowshero Feroze 14. 14, Ghotki 12, Khairpur and Sanghar 11-11, Sujawal 10, Qambar and Umerkot 7. 7, 5 in Larkana and 4 in Kashmore.
