A ship from Australia arrived in Gwadar carrying 21,000 tonnes of urea fertilizer under Afghan Transit Trade and anchored at Gwadar Port, after which Gwadar Port became fully operational.
According to reports, with the arrival of MV-KEN SEA from Australia, the process of arrival of foreign ships at Gwadar port and delivery to Asia has started.
It is to be noted that Afghan transit trade from Gwadar port started in 2020 and under Afghan transit millions of urea fertilizers have been brought from Gwadar port so far.
Regularity in Afghan transit trade and operation of Gwadar port will lead to large scale commercial activities from Gwadar port and intensification of trade activities will increase employment opportunities.
Experts say that the opening of Gwadar port will also benefit the shipping industry and have a positive impact on the ecosystem.
